not the what but the why

him again

He reminds me it is important to show up, to be present, that I can't exactly pinpoint what it is but something happens. And that something has to be the why I am holding a camera.

Today I am grateful for an old photo of a little boy who still shows me why I shoot.

The mornings seem to be the hardest, he tiried drinking it away then moved on to praying it away. Once something is in your heart, it wont go away. As he passes the lights are on and he can almost smell the coffee brewing . Easier now the sun is rising but the darkness will return.
