my Mom is a teacher
never apologize for who you are. take care of yourself. help those who are unable. applaud those who can and do. set your aim high. expect only of yourself and consider everything else a gift. work. laugh. read. you have value beyond what you can see. this is temporary but still important. treat relationships as sacred. you and only you are responsible for what you do, remember that and claim it. only deal in truth. listen when people tell you who they are. it is okay to walk away and it is okay to stay. you are strong and courageous as well as weak and scared. there is no shame in admitting it all.
and so on and so forth and I am so very grateful for those things my Mom has taught me.
