On one hand she was one of the kindest women I had ever met. I was sitting sweltering in a midday southern sun when all of a sudden she was right there sharing her umbrella with me. Absolutely beautiful, generous and kind and lovely and sweet with a precious giggle and the most gentle affect.
On the other she may have been coming to ask me to get my ass up off the memorial monument since I had decided it would make a good seat. Only now do I realize that face may be saying, Child, were you raised no better than that?
Nonetheless, the momentary shade was a welcome relief before I was off taking shots again.
